Refund Policy
1. Introduction
Newage Evolution Foundation (NEF) is a registered Section 8 Company (non-profit organisation) dedicated to community development, children’s education, and the empowerment of youth and women across underserved communities in India. All funds received by the Foundation are applied directly towards these social objectives.
This Refund and Cancellation Policy set out the terms under which donations received by the Foundation through its online payment gateway or any other channel are governed. By making a donation to NEF, the donor acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined herein.
2. General Policy on Refunds
NEF operates with full transparency and accountability. All donations received are designated for charitable and social welfare purposes. In keeping with best practices for non-profit organisations and to ensure funds are deployed effectively and promptly for community benefit, the following general refund policy applies:
Donations made to Newage Evolution Foundation are non-refundable once processed through the online payment gateway or received through any other mode.
This policy is necessitated by the operational nature of charitable organisations, where funds are committed to ongoing programs, beneficiary support, and operational activities as soon as they are received.
3. No Refund on Donations
3.1 Online Donations via Payment Gateway
All online donations processed through the NEF website via the integrated payment gateway are final and cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded, except in cases of genuine technical errors as described in Section 5 of this policy.
Reasons include:
- Funds are immediately earmarked for active programs upon confirmation of receipt.
- The administrative cost of processing refunds is prohibitively high for a non-profit organisation.
- Donors are required to review and confirm the donation amount before completing the transaction.
3.2 Offline Donations (Cheques, Cash, Bank Transfers)
Donations received through offline modes, including cheques, demand drafts, cash, or bank/NEFT/RTGS transfers, are also non-refundable once received and acknowledged by the Foundation.

4. No Cash Refunds
Under no circumstances will any cash payment, cash reimbursement, or cash equivalent be provided as a refund for any donation made to Newage Evolution Foundation, regardless of the mode of original payment. This includes:
- Cash in hand
- Demand drafts or cheques payable to the donor
- Any other negotiable instrument
This policy is in line with regulatory requirements for non-profit organisations and ensures accountability in fund management.
5. Technical Errors & Duplicate Transactions
NEF recognises that genuine technical errors may occasionally occur during online payment processing. In such cases, the Foundation will make every effort to resolve the issue fairly and promptly.
5.1 Duplicate Transactions
If a donor is inadvertently charged more than once for a single intended donation due to a technical error on the part of the payment gateway, the duplicate amount will be refunded to the original payment source. Donors must:
- Notify NEF within 7 calendar days of the transaction date.
- Provide transaction ID(s), date(s), and bank statement as proof of duplicate charge.
- Submit the request in writing to info@newageevolutionfoundation.org.
Upon verification, refunds for duplicate transactions will be processed within 7 to 14 working days, depending on the bank and payment gateway timelines.
5.2 Payment Failures
In the event that a payment is debited from the donor’s account but not credited to NEF (a ‘payment failure’), the amount will be automatically reversed by the payment gateway within 5 to 7 working days. If the reversal does not occur within this timeframe, donors may contact NEF for assistance.
6. In-Kind Donations
NEF also accepts in-kind support in the form of materials, goods, or services. The following terms apply:
- All in-kind donations, once received by the Foundation, are non-returnable and non-refundable.
- Donated materials will be assessed and directed to the most appropriate beneficiary communities, particularly the poorest and most underserved populations.
- The Foundation does not provide monetary compensation for in-kind donations.
- Donors wishing to contribute in-kind are encouraged to contact NEF in advance to confirm the nature, quantity, and logistics of the intended contribution.
7. How Donations Are Utilised
Every donation received by Newage Evolution Foundation, irrespective of the amount, is directed towards one or more of the following areas:
- Community development projects and infrastructure for marginalised communities
- Children’s education and skill development programs
- Youth empowerment initiatives including vocational training and leadership programs
- Women’s empowerment through livelihood programs, health awareness, and legal literacy
- Emergency relief and humanitarian aid in times of disaster or crisis
NEF is committed to publishing annual impact reports so that donors can see how their contributions are making a difference.
8. Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If NEF introduces recurring donation facilities (monthly or annual standing instructions) in the future, donors will have the right to cancel such recurring arrangements at any point. However:
- Any donations already processed prior to the cancellation request will not be refunded.
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@newageevolutionfoundation.org at least 5 working days before the next scheduled deduction.
- NEF will confirm cancellation within 2 working days of receiving the request.
