Livelihood and Entrepreneurship

About the Thematic Area

About the Thematic Area

In rural communities, lack of access to skills, markets, and financial support often limits income opportunities. Many individuals remain dependent on irregular or low-paying work.

Newage focuses on building sustainable livelihood pathways by enabling women and youth to develop skills, start enterprises, and access markets. The approach goes beyond training by focusing on real income generation and long-term economic stability.

Our Approach

Rural Enterprise & Income Acceleration

This program helps women and youth build sustainable income by providing skill training and support to start and grow their own work. It focuses on training that matches local needs so that learning leads to real earning opportunities. The program includes support for starting small businesses, basic financial and business training and access to seed funding or revolving funds. It also connects beneficiaries with markets and buyers and encourages the formation of women and youth groups to grow together and create long-term livelihood opportunities.

Supports individuals to start earning, grow small businesses and build stable livelihoods.
